Financial Freedom for Women: unlocking their full potential

Women in Pakistan have hovered around at only a 10% labor participation rate for the past 20 years. One of the main reasons for such low participation is that they lack education. Women in backward areas lack adequate education and knowledge of financial opportunities.
Empowering women financially is one of the main Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the United Nations.
SKZ’s mission is to enhance women’s self-determination, allowing them to learn skills. We have started teaching stitching skills at our SKZ skill center in Shigar Valley, Gilgit Baltistan.
“Invest in her, empower her, and watch her change the world”

What is SKZ doing?

Currently, in this skill center, we are helping around 100 women in learning to stitch so that they can earn afterward.

âĤ Along with training, SKZ is also helping them enhance their communication skills to know how to talk to a customer.

âĤ Giving them the confidence to balance work and home because these women will eventually support their families.

âĤ Giving a clear message to society that educating a woman is equally important for it to run smoothly.

âĤ Transfer this confidence to the next generation because these women will transfer the knowledge to their young ones, eventually bringing a positive change in society.
